Playful food. Serious instructions.
The look can be cartoonish; the recipes should not be. The goal is to make arequipe feel fun and flexible while still giving home cooks clear quantities, sensible timing and useful technique notes.
What counts as arequipe here?
Most recipes are written for a thick, spreadable cow’s-milk arequipe or dulce de leche. Similar products can usually be substituted, but sweetness, saltiness and thickness vary between brands and regional styles.
Advertising
The site is designed to support advertising without turning every recipe into an obstacle course. Ads are intended for natural pauses: after major introductions, between groups of recipe cards, in a desktop sidebar and near the end of longer articles. We avoid placing ad blocks directly between an ingredient and its instruction step.
Editorial direction
Culture pages avoid pretending that every milk-caramel sweet is identical. Where names overlap or traditions differ, we say so. Origin stories are treated carefully because several countries have competing claims.
